Wonderwick began in the mind of a reader who fell for a world that didn't exist, and couldn't quite leave it behind.

That ache became a mission: to bottle the feeling of staying a little longer. Every candle, spray, and perfume is drawn straight from the scent descriptions written into the books themselves, because lore accuracy isn't a nice-to-have here. It's the whole point.

I'm the voice behind @unhingedbooktalk and the Founder/CEO of Wonderwick.

Reading has taken over my life recently, and I'm not complaining.

I named my daughter Addie from the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, my SJM investigation wall on social media went more viral than I ever expected, and my hundreds of unhinged theory videos diving into string theory have given me an incredible creative outlet that I'm forever grateful for. (I tried to warn you with my username. I really did.)

It started with an obsession with candles and a book I couldn't stop thinking about.

I wanted to bottle the feeling of a world I never wanted to leave.

So I did. Wonderwick began in a home studio, one hand-poured candle at a time, built by a reader for readers who feel their books as much as they read them.

Every product is designed to do one thing: let you carry your favorite fictional world with you, long after you've closed the book.

The book

We start by reading the book, cover to cover, to fully immerse ourselves in the world and understand the lore.

The research

After we've read it once, we read it again, but this time we're specifically on the lookout for scent descriptions of characters and locations.

The fragrance

When we have the quotes proving what everything is supposed to smell like, we utilize our library of 1000+ fragrance oils to find the perfect blend and turn it into a candle, perfume or room spray for you to experience yourself.

Our scents are cruelty-free & hand-crafted without the use of artificial colors or dyes, parabens, or phthalates.

You're homesick for a world you'll never get to see. We help you visit anyway, with officially licensed scents built line-by-line from the books, crafted so you can return to that world whenever you want to, and stay as long as you need.

Tested to perfection

Our candles use luxe coconut soy wax that shimmers as it burns, meticulously tested to provide the perfect scent throw, every time.

Lore-Accurate & fan-run

We take reading very seriously, so we don't just guess what the characters or locations smell like. We read the description, then build it. Exactly as written.

Every Scent Fully approved

Our scents are always officially licensed by their character's authors. Before a fragrance ever reaches your shelf, the author signs off on it themselves.
